Felix Mosha elected Chairman of the East African business Council

EABCDuring the 15th Annual General Meeting held at the East African Hotel in Arusha, Tanzania, on 4th April 2014, the East African Business Council elected its new Executive Committee for the period of 2014/2015 with Mr. Felix Mosha elected as the Chairman taking over from Mr. Vimal Shah, who has served as Chairman since May 2013.
Mr. Felix Mosha brings to EABC a wealth of experience from several years of national, regional and global leadership and advocacy. He is an economist by Profession, a Member of the Board of The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and Chairman of TPSF Policy and Advocacy Committee. His main area of Business is Agri-business and Real Estate. He serves as Member of the Executive Committee of the Tanzania National Business Council (and as Chair of its Agricultural Working Group he formulated Tanzania’s KILIMO KWANZA “Agriculture First” Vision);his other positions are: Founding Chairman of National Investments Company Limited (NICOL); Chairman of the Horticultural Development Council of Tanzania (HODECT); Chairman of the Kinondoni Community Foundation; Member of the Executive Committee of the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor for Tanzania (SAGCOT) and coordinated the establishment of the SAGCOT Catalytic Fund; Board Member of the Agricultural Council of Tanzania; etc.

Felix Mosha holds B. Sc. Economics; and, M. Sc. Economics.He studied at the City of London College UK; the Helsinki School of Economics Finland; and, Harvard Business School USA. Has been Member of: Society for International Development; Academy of International Business, International Trade and Finance Association; and, International Peace Research Association.Major publications include: Africa Rise to Challenge – Towards CSSCDCA Co-Authored with OlusegunObasanjo and Foreword by Mwal. Julius K NyerereEds 433p; and,The Challenge of Post Apartheid South Africa to AfricaEds231p. Languages: Kiswahili and English; and some working knowledge of French and Portuguese.

In his acceptance speech, The new Chairman, outlined key priorities that will be focused on during his tenure. These will include:-
